Avalon Anime Works is a chain of websites, created and maintained by me. It’s more of a hobby than anything else, and I’m happy that I was able to actually create a descent lay out. *Laughs*
I didn’t even think I’d go much farther than my Fanworks site…its amazing that I actually even got this far. My fruits basket and Gundam Wing site, are coming along nicely, and soon they’ll be up and running. It may take a while, and I hope that all will bare with me…I know I’m not the easiest person to deal with. This site does not, unlike the other contain very much for people to interact with one another, that’s what I truly want this site to be…so I’m adding on a chat room to one of the site’s pages…hopefully that will be well received and not misused by this site’s visitors.
As the “main site” it’s pretty boring, all it contains is the usual, about us, chat room-forums, contact, links…not really much, but it’s getting there. And plus this site is technically one that instigates or a preview or a reference to the other, “more interesting” sites. Hopefully I won’t have to scavenge for people to actually come to my site, and visit, but I’m pretty sure the new chat room will create quite a stir among all the visitors.
I think it’s a good way to make the site better known, or perhaps a way so that all passers by can actually interact among other visitors *wants more people to visit*
But…this comes with a great amount of responsibility on the part of you the visitors….
Please don’t take that privilege too lightly, I know that it’s exciting to see a chat room, and talk to perhaps…many on the net, but handle it responsibly. I do not wish to have to take it down, and don’t think I won’t. *Hates to be the party-pooper* No one is to be treated unfairly and no bashing of other persons in there especially. People are to be treated either equally or better.
Just telling you in advance, I have many official mediators of some certain sections, and they will occasionally drop in and monitor certain sections of the site. I intend on having the chat room password protected, so that people can become members of the site. But it will be open to anyone and everyone in the beginning.
I really and truly do not want to see or hear that someone was being treated unkindly. I know I must sound so corny, but it’s true, either say something nice or don’t say it at all. I do not want my site’s reputation to be slandered or tarnished from visitors who are not mature enough to follow these guidelines. People shouldn’t even be able to access this site under 13 and even if they do, they should be able to come and have fun chatting without having to worry about some Internet bully. Any breaking of these rules will instigate in either being banned from the site, or your membership to forums and etc will be closed. So I hope that this will seriously be understood.
The other main additions to this site are my beloved guest book! Yeah!!!! I love my GB! I was so dumb, I thought it was the coolest thing when I first found out how to set it up; I’m a real idiot on Mondays and weekends. *Ashamed* you can find that on the contact page, please be kind to other posts and comments made by other people. *Doesn’t want to have to shut it down*
My sister sites, the ones you can find inside the links page, consists of Furuba, My Fanworks, and Gundam Wing. My Fruits Basket and Gundam Wing site have waaaay much more to offer than my poor AVA Central and My Fanworks…but I can say that all sites in general are attractive and pleasant to look upon. *Is proud of her humble sites* I must admit that I feel ashamed for taking advantage of Free webs, but I’m happy they’ve let me have so many sites. *Loves all her sites* Please take a look at them all if you have the time.
My Fanworks contains all the finished Fanfiction I have written...which isn’t much, but my quality sure outranks the quantity…I’m done with the set up of this site, and all that will probably ever change on it is the main updates and the fanfic and Fanart section…which is good, because it took me forever to set up. It unlike this site, does not have a chat room *sob* I wanted to add one, but I thought, hey…the whole reason they came here was to read stories *or so she thinks* so I didn’t add one. I might though if it turns out that many request and the one here isn’t abused to badly. *Hopes*
I am very proud of my Fruits Basket site. Furuba! It is my best work, and everything created with the help o paint, scanners, etc. Once I thought I loaded waaaay to much on my desktop, I looked at the C drive and was like…O my God…My computer’s fat now…to much junk in my files. *Sweat drop*
Plus it’s been acting up lately. It’s so old. *Pats laptop keyboard* I want to get it fixed…but it may cost far more than exactly I’d be willing to pay, I’m poor at the moment. *Has memories of when she had gotten her paycheck and then spent it blindly on material things* I should be getting a new computer soon anyway…but I want to keep the one I have too…and save up money so I can have it fixed, I mean…it’s really old and something’s wrong with the battery so it’s hard for it to charge. *Sniff* what have 5 yrs done to my baby???? It was so young!
Well, anyway…if things happen to this computer, I have all the servers backed up on multitude of disks so it shouldn’t be a problem to fix…*crosses fingers* hopefully nothing dire will happen till I get a new computer. But Murphy’s Law is a harsh thing, be ready for the bad things, ‘cause they will happen when you least expect them.
I’ve been talking about my two site mediators…but I have yet to tell whom they are….

They go by Sophia and FLC9, they are the ones who will come in and monitor regularly or whenever band and cheerleading don’t take up their time. I know that now I’ve become part of the insane list, what with a part time job, school newspaper, and track to boot…it’s going to be a hard long year, and I might not have time myself, to drop in. But I’ll try to update and manage the site as often as I can. Which will even though I say, I won’t have enough time it’ll probably be almost every couple days…
