I love going up into the mountains because I get to run free and smell around. I get so crazy and enjoy me freedom.

Hi all,

Well after some guess work I finally figured out that I have a slight allergy to the sun, yes the sun! If I lay in the sun for to long I break out in hives. No itching or bad side affects just some bumps that go away after I’m out of the sun for 10 or 15 minutes. So I hope I grow out of it? Living here in sunny Spain is maybe not the best thing and summer is not even here yet. Well we will have to wait and see…

Other news is that I’m full of testosterone and am having a hard time controlling myself and I have to try and test my boundaries from time to time J. It’s not working all that well but I’m having some fun trying!  I’ll have to add some stories soon. I hungry and then it is nap time for me!

I know, I know I need to update more often! But puberty has hit and I’m having problems thinking straight. Plus I’ve been busy taking over the house! Not sure why Auxi and Rich seem to be so uptight. All they say is no and then they want me to listen and do what they ask me to do. Can you believe that what are they thinking? Sometimes I think they think they are running the show and not me. The nerve of some humans!

Rich posted some videos and pictures on his page. They are all of me because I’m king around here! Other then that I have been growing quite nicely. I’m now 38.5kg (84.9lbs) and around 63cm (24.8in.) tall to top of shoulders. My chest is filling in too, I’m going to be quite the impressive dog when I finish growing!

We flew from Malaga airport direct to Las Palmas as planned. We did have a 1.5 hr delay making the total time I was separated from Auxi and Rich 4 hours. The flight was smooth and I didn't try to chew my way out of the crate or anything like that. I was not too thrilled about getting back in the crate after the flight was over so I road in the back seat from the airport to Auxi’s sister house. It took two days before I would go back in the crate on my own. Now that I think back 4 hours is the longest I have been separated from either Auxi or Rich since I have been with them.

The flight back was not as easy to say the least. We had a 7pm flight so we get to the airport at 5pm to find out there is a two hour delay. Auxi tells the guy at the counter they will check me when we know the flight is going to leave. The guy at the counter was a dog lover so he was more then helpful and let us wait all together before having to check our bags and me. While waiting some security guy tells us I have to have a muzzle or be in my crate while in the airport. We could also go out side without a muzzle so no real problem just some more stress to add to our nervousness. Doing the math on our delay meant we would not be in Malaga at 10pm as planned and then home around 1am after the drive but at 3am or so. My wife had to work the next day so she was not happy. After some time waiting, like an 1.5 hours the dog lover check in guy tells us he is sorry but the I can not fly on the plane as it is too small of an aircraft and the storage space is not pressurized... Auxi looks at him and said you mean WE can not fly! Nice dog lover check in guy totally understands and said we should rebook at the ticket sails counter. Not so nice tick sails lady tried to tell Auxi we did not reserve a dog on the plane and we will have to buy new tickets! What the F... Auxi gets furious and tries to talk with the not so nice ticket lady with no results. So we go back to the nice dog lover and he checks in the computer to say indeed we did have a reservation for a large dog and he would talk to his supervisor to see what could be done. After another two hours of waiting around the nice guy tells us he can get all three of us on a plane to Madrid and then to Malaga at 4am. He suggest we take it as there are no direct flights planned for two days with a large enough aircraft for the dog. After allot of discussing between Auxi and Rich and I we decide to take the flight checking me and the bags to Madrid. Collect the bags and me at Madrid then check in for the Malaga flight as long as I was doing OK. No delay for the Madrid flight so everything went smooth to Madrid except for some ahcs and pains for AUxi and Rich from the few hours sleep we got on the airport floor. In Madrid our bags  were left in Las Palmas do to weight concerns. I made it though? When I saw Auxi and Rich in Madrid my tail was wagging making a thud...thud sound of joy against my crate. We are now getting close to missing our next flight to Malaga. So then we rush off to catch our flight. I was great and did a number two as soon as we got outside (the number 1 I had to due inside the airport oops) and stayed at heel until we were checked in. Auxi and Rich were really impressed with my self control. Some of it had to do with it being a strange place but I responded to all my commands and every one complemented me on my behavior. When Aixi told them I was only 6 month old they could not believe it. Back to the check in, this check in guy was a bit feed up with his job but managed to be nice to us. The flight change we received in Las Palmas did not get processed correctly and we did not have a piece of paper he needed to verify this or that bla, bla... Like I said he was nice to us but you could tell he was not a happy camper. He did get the paper thing sorted but we had another delay to wait for. This time it was 1 hour. Which was good for me because I got a chance to play a bit. When it was time to check me in an older lady came and said she was going to take me in my crate. But how was the question, the crate can tip pretty easy when I move around if I’m on one of those wagons then it would be definitely a roll over if your not careful. She said she would put him on one of the airport wagons and it would be OK. Rich told her that it was not going to happen because I would tip over. They get another person with a bit more physical ability to help the older Lady so I would have a safe ride to the plane. We all made it to Malaga without problems. On the way home from Malaga we stopped as soon as Auxi and Rich found a place for me to get some exercise and I ran around like a happy wild puppy. After an hour of playing and running I fell asleep for the next two hour until we got home where I eat and then went straight to bed until 6am the next day. So we all survived our 24hr plus travel day.

Thanks for reading I need to get back to planning my take over of the couch and bed! Auxi and Rich think they own everything! I’ll show them right after my nap and lunch of course.

Hi all,

Had to take a trip to see the vet on Tuesday. Love going there I always get a bunch of extra treats and everyone makes a fuss over me. Any way I still can’t shake this cold I got like a month ago. I’m only coughing a bit in the mornings but I had to go just to be sure. The vet gave me some medicine to take yesterday evening and tonight. It dose not taste that good but the chicken I get right after sure dose. I hope this gets rid of it for good! On a good note I got a bunch of new stuff from the US for my four month birthday. Some new collars that are a bit big but I'll fit into them in a couple weeks at the rate I’m growing. I also got a long leash so I can check thing out and run free on our walks, well kind of and I got a shorter leash for walking. I really like them so thanks to Grandma Korte for sending them so fast!

I’m at 25kg now (55lb) and counting. I’m growing like crazy! I also started loosing teeth I have three that are just wobbling around in my mouth right now.

Hello all,

Well I’m almost completely over my first cold. I cad a small cough / phlegm thing going on. No temperature but I did have to get some antibiotics. Most of my play mates had the same thing some of them even had a temperature. I did manage to get a bunch of sympathy from Auxi and Rich which was quite nice.

Rich added some pictures of our last hike. Auxi’s nieces came along and I saw my first horse. It was big and I decided to keep my distance and give it a stair down for about 15 min.

I’m weighing in at 22 kg (48.5lb). The vet said I was the most handsome dog they have ever seen! Try not letting that go to your head!

Ok that’s about all for now.

I just love these park benches every time I see one I jump up on it. It make Auxi and Rich laugh so I’m going to keep doing it.

Not much else new with me except for maybe one or two kg.

Hello everyone just had my three month birth day (29, September you can still send gifts! I don't mind getting them late).

I did get a new ball,

went for a hick up in the mountains,

meet a new friend (Nico) at the beach.

I’m now just under 17kg (37.5 lb.) If I’m supposed to get to around 32kg (70lb.) then I’m half way there. What do you think, How do I look? I’m not as big as my Rhodesian Ridgeback friend Casan but he is one and a half years old. He sure can run I can't wait to be able to run that fast.

Hello everyone I'm growing like crazy (just over 12 kg / 27 pounds) some times it is painful but I’m doing my best to get as much attention from Auxi and Rich as possible. Now that I have all my shots I get to go for longer walks and see a bunch of new and interesting things. Some times we go to the beach and others around town. Rich promised me we could go to the mountains where I can do some real exploring so I’m looking forward to that. Auxi has also been talking to some other dog owners (one of which is a Rhodesion Ridgeback like me) to find some play friends for me. I’ll make sure Rich takes some pictures of that and post them so keep checking in. Ok time to chew on some of my toys and or play with Auxi and Rich.

Hi all,

I wanted to up date earlier but the trip to my new home took a lot out of me! Since I’ve been in my new home I am doing my best to adjust but every thing and I mean everything is a new experience to me. I still don’t know what to think about most it. I do think that Auxi and Rich are really nice we still have to learn each others language, I know they keep trying to tell me thing but I just don’t get it yet. I also have been trying to tell them some things and some times they get it but other times they gust look at me like I’m a cute adorable puppy. Well I am if I do say so myself. Any way we need to work on the communication stuff I am very optimistic. I tiered again and need to sleep, my favorite thing to do right now. I have been having some nice dreams of my family I left behind, I miss them! I also have had some good dreams of all the cool thing I will be doing with my new family.

Hi everyone here are my latest photos. I’m getting excited as soon as Auxi and Rich get back from their trip they are coming to get me. Only two more weeks and I’m going to be at me new home!

Can you please help us choose a name for our soon to be dog?
We are not sure if we will take a boy or a girl so both are welcome.
We have come up with the following so far. Since the dog originates out of South Africa we are hoping to stay with that kind of name.
For a girl: Tara, or Adra. Auxi and I seem to agree on these two.
For a boy: (this is where really need help) Atazar, Zuri, Rongo, Malik...
