teenmom,I would go and see your Dr,and seriously think about getting it out,it sounds like your body is not coping with it,talk to your partner and explain to him its mirena causing your moods etc,one of the most common side effects I have been reading lately is depression,anger,moodswings,I hope someone your age replies to you,but thats my opinion hope it helps.

I had my iud for 2 months now and i have had severe pains im a new mother and a newly wed my husband and i have never had fights ever we are so close but here lately we have been at each others throat i dont want to have sex because i hurt i have terrible mood swings and thats not like me im always happy i mean i have a newborn why should i be angry.I have been bleeding constantly i have been bleeding since ive got it in i may get off of it for about a day but after that its back and i hate it i use super size tampons and i still leak this is a constant everyday thing i need advice what should i do. My pain gets so bad it feels like little bobs exploding in my stomach. PLEASE ADVISE ME im only 16 i need womens advice that are going throught the same as me!

Ive had the iud for 3 years now and have put on 50 pounds Its been great protection for me but after reading these stories it explains all the stomach pains ive had. I recently went to the doctors and they cant find my strings either. They told me it was nothing to really worry about and it couldnt go anywhere. I told them that i thought i heard different and they reassured me that there was nowhere for it to go and it was to soft to go through my uterous. They told me i could go get a ultrasound to fell reasured. Im really scared after as to where mine might be since it could have been floating around for 2 years now. My questions is how long and who were the clinical trials for this IUD done on? What effect does releasing synthetic hormones directly into the uterus have? I would suggest young women find saver means than this to prevent pregnancy. If you have heavy bleeding you should have your hormone levels checked. Hello Elaine,yes those are side effects of mirena,there are a lot of complaints about the same thing on a site called curezone.com I am a member of that site as well its a good forum site.
I still have bloated stomach even after having it out.

I had my Mirena put in about a week ago, I had severe headaches to begin with for the first couple of days then that went away. I haven't had a good nights sleep since it was put in. Very restless nights. I also am experiencing leg pain, my legs feel tingley and heavy, I was just curious if these side effects are related and it they will go away. And I do also feel bloated. Thank you!
