First off, let us explain the origin of the name AuraToned.
The word is derrived from three distinct words:
Orotund (OR-uh-tuhnd\, adjective): Characterized by fullness, clearness, strength, and smoothness; ringing and musical.
Aura: A distinctive but intangible quality that seems to surround a person(s) or thing; atmosphere.
Tone: The quality or character of sound
We believe this name fits the style of music we love to create, since we are all about the music as a whole and nothing else.
We started this band in late October, 2005. There was an ad posted on
the Ottawa Musician, stating that two guys, a drummer and a bassist
(that would be JF and Eric), were looking for a guitar player (that
would be Paolo). After one jam, the band came alive. Soon the band felt
the need to search out and find a keyboard player. After placing
another ad, the band was fortunate to find Mike. Although the band is
relatively new, it seems obvious that the strength in their chemistry,
shows the band has been together longer. We look forward to creating
more original music, and playing live. For now sit back and enjoy
the NEW site. Make sure your sound is on, as a few of our songs will be
playing in the backround.
