For those who pick their Pokemon on appearance

I hope you also treat them with care and love after you get them. Don't be dismayed by the fact that your Pokemon are weaker than the others. You picked them because they are appealing to you so you should keep that fact in mind. Don't ever change your mind just because your friend says being the strong type is better. If you aren't a strong type trainer, you won't fit with strong type Pokemon (unless you change your training style). If you are a mixture of strong and true type, you should be happy because your Pokemon will appeal to you and be strong.

For those who love their Pokemon

Never be persuaded by anyone to change yourself. The goal of the Pokemon game is for you to love your Pokemon. I hope you continue to love your Pokemon and sometimes, when your going to lose, the bond you share with your Pokemon will help you (though I know this is not logically true but it happens).
