Fast Type

We recommend that you start with your starter for starters are usually faster and have average attack statistics. Electrical Pokemon are usually fast and have good special attack. Heracross is a good Pokemon to work with, because it does not evolve, meaning it has higher attack and higher speed. (I also would recommend any Pokemon that have single evolutions.) In this section, we have two options. We give premade teams for you to try and we give a list of Pokemon that would be suitable for the fast type trainer.

Premade teams

Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald:
  • Pick Treeko as your starter. Sceptile will learn False Swipe that will help when catching Pokemon.
  • Catch a Wingull. Wingull can fly and use surf so it will be handy. You can find one almost everywhere.
  • Catch a Meditite. Meditite is a Psychic and Fighting type and is fast. You can find some on Mt. Pyre(Ruby/Sapphire). For Emerald, check your Pokedex. You'll meet many on your path.
  • Catch a Lunatone/Solrock(Depending on your version). Both of them are rock and psychic type. You can find one in Meteor Falls.
  • Catch an Absol. Absol is rare and can only be in the grassy area to the right of Fortree City.
  • Catch a Vulpix and evolve it into a Ninetales if you can't stand its speed. A Fire stone can be found in the Fiery Path and Vulpix can be found on Mt. Pyre.
  • Catch a Magneton in New Maville. (Or catch a Magnemite).
  • An optional Pokemon instead of Absol would be Skarmory. Skarmory is an excellent and fast Pokemon and can be found in the grassy area to the left of Fallarbor Town
Pokemon FireRed/Leafgreen:
  • Pick Charmander as your starter. Later on in your game, you will have an oportunity to catch Suicune. Don't worry about Brock in the Pewter Gym because Charmeleon can learn Metal Claw which is super-effective against Rock types. Charmeleon evolves into the strong and popular Charizard that can learn Earthquake.
  • Evolve your Eevee to Jolteon. Jolteon is very fast. Eevee can be found in the Celadon mansion and a thunder stone can be bought in the celadon department store.
  • Catch a Doduo. Tri-Attack will shorten your training time by a lot. Duduo can be found to the left of Celadon City.
  • Catch a Dugtrio. Dugtrio can be found in the Diglett Tunnel or catch a Diglett.
  • Get a Hitmonlee at the Dojo Gym by Saffron's Gym and teach it Brick Break.
  • Catch a Golduck(FireRed) or catch a Dewgong(Leafgreen). They can be found on Seafoam Islands. (Alternatively try Staryu(LeafGreen), Gyrados, or Seedra)
These are the Pokemon we have that will match your training personality(We don't list any of the starters or legendaries):
