Flying Types

Flying Types are very fast and most of them learn Fly, which will make your commuting time shorter. Flying types usually are dual types and have high Attack. Flying types are afraid of Electric, Ice, and Rock moves and usually have low Defense and Special Defense.(Scyther is in the bug section, Murkrow is in the dark section.)

Spearow evolves into the great Fearow which is fast and strong. Drill Peck is a strong move that I would recommend. Fearow can also learn Aerial Ace and Spearow can be found in many places throughout Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen.

Farfetch'd is a very useful Pokemon(It is a normal and flying type) since it learns False Swipe and can be used to catch Pokemon. You can get a Farfetch'd by trading a Spearow in Vermillion City. Since you get your Farfetch'd by trading, your Farfetch'd will get more EXP points compared to other Pokemon.

Doduo is a strong Pokemon and is a Normal and Flying Type. Doduo evolves into Dodrioand can learn Drill Peck. Doduo can be found in the Safari Zone in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and can be found in the grass to the left of Celadon City in Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen.

Aerodactyl can be found by giving the old amber to a scientist on Cinnabar Island. Aerodactyl can learn Ancient Power, which can boost its stats in battle. Earthquake is an obvious choice for Aerodactyl, but remember, Aerodactyl is a Rock and Flying Type so it is still vulnerable to electric attacks!

Natu is a Psychic and Flying type meaning it can also use Psychic moves. Natu is fast and will evolve into Xatu. Once Natu learns Aerial Ace and Psychic, it will be an invaluable part of your team

Delibird is an Ice and Flying type. This makes it vulnerable to Fighting types but also makes it strong against rock types.

Mantine is a Water and Flying type, which gives it a disadvatage over Ice Types as compared to usual Water types and gives it an avantage over Ice Types as compared to usual Flying Types. Mantine can learn Surf so it can take you over the seas!

Skarmory is a Steel and Flying type, which lets it shrug off many attacks since it is a steel type. Ice attacks are now less effective against this Armor Bird and Skarmory learns Spikes. Spikes will harm an opponent when the opponent comes out. Steel Wing is also a good move to let Skarmory learn, but watch out for Electric and Fire moves. Now that Skarmory is a steel type, it is vulnerable to Fire moves! You can find one in the grasses to the right of Fallarbor Town.

Taillow is an obvious choice for starting trainers. Taillow is found nearby the place where you start in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire. Taillow evolves into Swellow. Even Ash owns one.

Wingull is a versatile Pokemon because it can learn Fly and Surf while many Flying types can't learn Fly if they have another type(like Natu). Wingull can be found almost everywhere in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.
