There have been many episodes that have aired on TV. Now, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl is running in Japan while Pokemon Advanced Generation is still running in the U.S. The Anime Series tells you about Ash and his friends as they journey through the Pokemon world. Many of the episodes are based on the video game. Ash battles Gym Leades and the Elite Four. He meets friends and takes the Battle Frontier Challenge. Ash has many friends and rivals. One of them is Gary(Shigeru), who is your rival in Pokemon LeafGreen/FireRed. Ash's other rivals are Richie(Hiroshi), Harrison(Hazuki), Tyson(Tetsuya) and Shinji. Ash's main friends are Brock(the Pewter City Gym Leader), Misty(the Cerulean City Gym Leader), May(Norman's child), Max (May's Brother), and Hikari(a Pokemon Coordinator). May's rivals are Drew and Harley.
