Caring about the dogs in welfare

Every breed has a need for a rescue and the Cane Corso is no exception. Still a relatively unknown breed in the UK but becoming more and more popular. Like many molosser breeds they are not a dog to be taken on lightly and need the correct handling, training and care.

Jackie Hillman - Rescue Co-ordinator - committed to rescuing Cane Corsos in the UK (and other Molosser breeds) and finding suitable homes for them where they can live happily for the rest of their lives.

Each year many Neapolitans end up in rescue through no fault of their own. The majority of them are from broken homes where a partner has left. Some are abandoned and due to ignorance or neglect, can be in a poor state.

Sometimes it is necessary for dogs to sadly be re-homed as the owners current situation cannot deal with having a dog for the foreseeable future. Also sometimes it happens that people purchase that adorable puppy for the wrong reasons and as they grow find out that this is not the breed for them. This is a large heavy breed who thinks its a lap dog sometimes and its that unique person we are looking for to adopt a unique breed of dog.
