Regular Fisherman’s Blues listener - Ken Peel contacted me a few weeks ago for some piking advice.

Ken fishes his local pond in Yorkshire and had only managed a few small pike in the past. I of course was only to glad to give him some advice and I am really pleased to report that Ken has just landed his biggest pike.

Once again the Fisherman’s Blues – All Things Piscatorial.com combination has produced a great result.

Dear Steve,

I e-mailed you about 3 weeks ago, asking about spinners for pike. I received a reply back from you, saying you thought dead baiting was the best way to go and also wobbled deadbait, with explanation attached.

I went on Saturday afternoon, I float fished a mackerel deadbait.

SUCCESS!!! - My first big pike, 8-10lb!
