Just to give you some idea of the kind of thing to expect from the past away games pages, hear is very small review from memory of a game played at Witton at few years ago.

From season 2002/03. Not really in recent past matches catagory I know, but I need to test the site and this is the only one that I have photos for at the moment!

Cant remember all the details about it now but it was in the days before the seperate supporters coach so we would have travelled with the players to this one. This of course meant that we were unable to stop of for refreshments en-route.

I think we arrived at Wincham Park about an hour or so before kick off. There didn't appear to be any pubs within walking distance of the ground and I would normally have made straight clubhouse. It was however my first visit here and I took time to look around the outside of what looked to be a superb ground.

After two seasons in the NCEL and most of our time in Unibond 1, while Witton were doing a tour of the Conference, I was very impressed by the look of the place.

Can't remember if the clubhouse had real ale or not but it was a good size place  and the staff and locals were friendly. The inside of the stadium lived up to what it looked like from the outside, a new build Conference ground. The only downside to all this were the OTT stewards that didn't like to hear us singing. We didn't take many this time with about 25 of us at the back of the net and may be another 15 to 20 in the stands but made quite a bit of noise I seem to recall!

Alfreton (playing in blue shirts & white shorts!) came away with a 2-1 victory to make it a very pleasent day in the Cheshire sunshine!
