Grob Tutor T1

In your time in the ATC you will have a chance to fly in this aircraft.  The first time you fly you will get to know the basic controls of the aircraft.  The more times you fly the more instruction you'll  be given.

Engine: One Lycoming 360 piston engine

Length: 24ft 9in (7.59m)

Wingspan: 32ft 8in (10.00m)

Top Speed: 150mph (240km/h)

Accommodation: Instructor and student pilot in tandem seating
 
Role of the Tutor
Basic flying training.


Grob 103

The viking glider is aerobatic if you get the chance to go gliding, go! If the pilot of the glider asks if you want to do some aerobatics say yes if you feel up to it.

In your time in the ATC you should be able to go gliding at least once a year, or more if you are lucky.

 

The first time you go gliding you will start with the GIC (gliding induction course) course whcih has 3 parts;

Viking

GIC 1 – 3 launches
GIC 2 – 4 launches
GIC 3 – 5 launches
