A Taste Of Home

Welcome to the site for A TASTE OF HOME a foundation dedicated to helping the homeless currently in the Tampa Bay Area.

                      Know that every person deserves more than a single chance at life... And that those who fall back, need only a little help from people like you and me to get back up on their feet.  Know that you can stand out among the rest of the world by  helping those less fortunate then yourself. To know that you can be a person who helps others simply by baking a cookie... and by providing a bit of warmth to a somewhat cold life... can mean a lifetime of difference for those on the recieving end.  Please help the homeless.  Please help them by donating to your local charities... or even by donating to this newly made foundation.  A life can be changed by your simple donation. 

                      Know that what we do here at A Taste Of Home is strictly for those of the homeless people.  No money goes to b enefiting any persons involved on the helping end of this organization.  This is a non-profitable organization. 

                     Founded Nov. 30th, 2007, by an 18 year old teenager bound to go to the University of Tampa the following fall, this organization was created to benefit those who were less fortunate... who were unable to stand on their own two feet and who lacked a second chance at life.  Seeing the homeless one Thanksgiving morn only strengthened her resolve to help those who needed her.  And in founding this foundation, Vera Wiggins, the creator and idealist behind this opporation, hopes to find some hope for those without  a place to stay... She hopes to provide a better lifestyle for them... And even though the organization shall start off small... As merely an organization that donates cookies to her local churches helping homeless citizens, she hopes to one day expand her reach to other churches and other cities... To other acts of kindness... Such as providing clothes, hot meals... And hopefully, money. 

                    Ms. Wiggins, asks now that if you find a place of emptiness in your heart, she asks that you try and find happiness in helping others.  That if you find yourself up a creek without a paddle, that you try and make one with the helping  hands of those around you... willing to help you on your journey to a better self... and a better world.  For there is no  greater joy in the world than that of helping others.
