Weather: Baby it's cold outside! Just to make matters worse this winter is far colder than the last few winters we've had. Snow is not as big of a problem though it is still everywhere all the time, but it should never reach more than a foot in any area and only a few inches under dense tree cover. But the lack of heavy snow is balanced by the unfortunate cold! During the day the temperature has a [u]high[/u] of around 20 degrees F and at night it can drop down to a low of -15 degrees F. Good thing this is mating season because you're going to want to snuggle!
Another characteristic of this years winter is the amount of ice. The mass of the floodwater manages to freeze over but never become thick enough to walk on due to it's depth. But every every river and small lake freezes right over. The rain from fall continues on to become freezing rain which created hail and ice storms that leave a coating of ice over everything in early winter, including trees, bushes, and wolf fur if you're outside of a shelter. Ice can be cold, dangerous, and slippery, but for those first weeks the ice makes the land of Aspen is about the most gorgeous place in the world.
Pregnant?: Got a mate or trying to get one? Want your character to have puppies this year? That's fine and it will most likely happen, but in order to avoid a slew of pregnant mothers no one can make their character pregnant until I have given you permission! If you want your character to be pregnant and you already have a mate for them and the rper of the mate wants puppies too than please PM me and ask and I will let you know whether or not you can become pregnant and have puppies!
