Hsu-nami, an Erhu Rock fusion band from New Jersey. The band consists of a lead Er-Hu (Chinese violin) player accompanied by a five piece back-up band. They mix traditional Er-Hu styles with modern
rock influences. Hsu-nami has opened for such acts as Nightmare of You, Yellowcard, Johnny Hi-Fi, and Chthonic. Notable performances include the
Passport to Taiwan Festival at Union Square Park in NYC and the CAPA Festival. They have performed at Columbia University, Penn State, SUNY Albany, Ramapo College, and Rutgers University. Their Rutgers performances were for events hosted by the Taiwanese American Student Association as well as the Korean Student Association. Hsu-nami has also performed in several venues throughout Manhattan, and have performed at many venues which include the Highline Ballroom in NYC, the Trocadero in Philadelphia, the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ, the Mexicali Blues Cafe in Teaneck, NJ, and one of the closing nights at CBGB's in NYC, NY.
