Ashaari Kennels

Whippets, Tibetan Spaniels & Italian Greyhounds

Welcome to Ashaari Tibetan Spaniels, Italian Greyhounds and Whippets!

About Us

Welcome to Ashaari Kennel’s web page. We are a small kennel, concentrating on Italian Greyhounds, Whippets and Tibetan Spaniels. We started showing  in 2005 and have started to breed some lovely litters.

Ashaari has enjoyed minor success in the show-ring, to date, both “Lovenjoy Kahlua” (iggy) and “Egdeof Visablhero” (tibby) have won BOB in good company and we are very proud of them. Group wins have come from “Westntib Little Embers” (tibby) Junior in Group and “Ch. Tuscamada Just A Touch” (iggy) Open in Group, which have been most exciting. "Barad Tegan Trouble", (tibby), and "Javanette Mr Karl" (whippet) have both won Baby Puppy in Group, with the whippet also winning Open in Group. We enjoy the social aspect of showing and as we learn more about our breeds we will expand our show team and enjoy breeding a few litters as well. I've recently added a brag page for our show results, very nice to have these wins to be able to brag about!

We are located in the Central West of NSW and our dogs are lucky enough to have 64ha to run around. We also design and create dog coats and show accessories under the label of “Puppy PJ’s”. You are most welcome to peruse our range via the link and please, feel free to place an order!Check us out at www.freewebs.com/puppypjs

Paws For Diabetics

Ashaari Kennels is proud to be associated with Paws for Diabetics, a charitable organisation who provide Hypo Alert Assistance Dogs to diabetic clients. Through Puppy PJ's, we make the identification coats that the dogs wear when in public, and we will also be breeding whippets for the programme. Information on Paws for Diabetics (PFD) can be found on www.pfd.org.au and donations and sponsorships are very welcome.

It is amazing how our four legged friends can help look after us, and these dogs provide an essential support service to those diabetics who fail to recognise a potential hypoglycemic attack, or suffer hypos through the night. Parents get to enjoy some sleep, knowing that the dog will alert to any fall in their child's blood sugar while asleep. The dogs attend school, work and play, are tested and accredited for Public Access when their training is complete and enjoy the same freedom of access as all assistance dogs. Although many breeds of dog are suitable, PFD prefers smaller breeds that are easy for their clients to care for, and donations assist in providing the dogs, travelling for trainers and ongoing support. Go to the web site and read about some of the clients and dogs in the programme, you will be amazed at how clever and essential these dogs are. Please feel free to help support PFD in any way you can, this is a very worthy cause.
