Is your life boring? Are you tired of waking up and realizing that you are no different than thousands of other equally boring individuals? If so, it's time to move to the realm of Ascentia!

In the lands of Dragonstrom, Ascentia serves as the beautiful, scenic region that the light and the holy call home. Not too many years ago, Ascentia City was a bustling region just as big as the neutral realm of Fauldar or the dark lands of Demor. Unfortunately, it slowly became corrupt and lost its chance at winning the war with the evil, and very few of its people survived.

But rejoice! Like the mighty phoenix, we have risen from the ashes of defeat and have resettled just a kilometer North-East of the ruins of Ascentia City. Now, our capital is the Sunshine Acropolis, an artistic metropolis with huge, gleaming walls of polished limestone with gates of sanded white marble. Though Ascentia is not nearly as large as its two neighbors, it is proud to say that it has some of the finest citizens in all the lands!

As the home of several light-oriented guilds and freelancers, we strive for what we all, as individuals, define to be good. For our laborers, this means to put forth all the effort they can to make the lands the best that they can be. To our merchants, this means to do business fairly with everybody as if they were family. And as for our warriors, this means to improve what seems impossible to make better, whether by slaying a wicked beast or defending their homes.

But does the end justify the means? For some of our residents, yes. These fierce individuals are sure that if one were simply to remove the blemish from the cake, figuratively speaking, then the cake that is left would be as good as new. Other residents believe that to make good, one must be good, and site that "one must be the change they wish to see in the world." The state of Ascentia, out of repect for the individuality of its citizens, allows everybody to decide for themselves.

From the rustic forests and mountains to the civilized Sunshine Acropolis, all Ascentians share in the common goal of making the world a better place.

Today, the site has gone public. Of course, there are still secondary priorities to fulfill, but the main objective was to get a site telling a little bit about Ascentia up and running. I plan to add some things like literary contests and art galleries in the near future, and if everything goes well, there is a very slim chance that we will get a domain of our own. So spread the word about the Ascentian web site!

In mainland Rhy'Din, an Ascentian-owned-and-operated tavern has been constructed! Literally built inside the trunk of a still living, magnificent sequoia, The Light Tavern can be located just North of Rhy'Din Square. Yes, we did move one of our biggest sequoias into a lot (four, actually). Dominating the skyline, The Light Tavern should be a great place for everybody to meet and have fun!
