Shannon Lake and Cystic Fibrosis

My name is Shannon Lake.
I have Cystic Fibrosis.
I have to go to Denver, CO November 8th-12th to have surgery at The Children's Hospital. I am going to have to get a G-Tube (feeding tube.) This tube will help me get extra calories at night while I am sleeping and then I can gain weight which will allow me to live a longer and healthier life. Cystic Fibrosis is a fatal genetic disease affecting approximately 30,000 children and young adults. Life expectancy is around 35 years of age. I am 8 years old, I weigh 46 pounds and I have had a lot of trouble gaining weight. I have to make a trip to Denver every three months and it is getting very expensive. When I am in Denver, they do extra blood work to provide research for other children with my disease. Any donations that you could contribute would be greatly appreciated.
