Rita has been an art educator for 13 years. She has painted in watercolor for 12 years and has received lottery arts grants to paint historic buildings in her town. She feels that her painting background has influenced her digital images which capture the mood and sense of place in her Cape Cod seascape and landscape photographs.
Some of Rita's photographs border on the abstract as
the pure elements of shape, line and color make a
powerful statement of their own. Rita hopes to merge
her love of painting and photography in future mixed
media work.
