Colleen calls Jana to say Kevin is very sick to try and lure her back to Genoa City, however she has gotten rid of her phone and email. Instead, Jana calls Kevin from another phone but hangs up before he could get the number. Kevin devises a plan to make it look like he's been hurt, asking Colleen to help him. She hesitates, but eventually agrees to go along with it. Kevin decides to crash his car and make it look like an accident, but it doesn't end the way he hoped.

Kevin is brought to the hospital. When Adrian shows up, Colleen lies to him and tells him that she was just driving by and saw the accident. Michael tells them about Kevin’s injuries and that he could develop pancreatitis which could be fatal. Kevin asks Colleen to send the photo she took at the accident to the newspaper to make sure Jana sees it. Colleen tells Lily about Kevin's plan and Adrian overhears.

Jana calls Colleen, who tells her that Kevin's condition is very serious. Adrian is angry that she is getting involved in all of this and seeks out Paul and Maggie to let them now. Maggie and Paul accuse Kevin of setting up the accident. Colleen is angry when she finds out what Adrian did. Later Kevin tells Colleen that Adrian is right and he shouldn’t be involving her is his plan.

Colleen tells Lily what happened with Adrian and gets angry when Lily says he was right. Meanwhile at the coffee house, a distracted Adrian runs into Maggie asking if Kevin confessed to staging his accident. He's worried about Colleen and wants something done. Later, Adrian runs into Colleen and apologizes for the way he acted. He tells her he loves her, and she admits that trying to trick Jana is now a bad idea.

After Kevin sneaks out of the hospital to meet Jana, Colleen and Daniel try to find him. On the webcam, the try to talk him of doing anything but aren’t successful. He ignores their IMs but writes one in the wrong window. They are worried when they realize he is going to meet Jana alone.

Colleen overhears Daniel on the phone and is suspicious when he says it was just a friend and he is going to go look for Kevin. Colleen follows Daniel and shows up at the Chancellor estate, asking Kevin, Amber and Daniel what they are up to. She sees the bag and tells them she'll call the police. Kevin begs her to keep the secret and she agrees. Later, he shows Jana the money on webcam and asks her to come back so they can run away together meanwhile Amber, Daniel and Colleen are standing in the background.
