Tammin Sursok
Tammin Pamela Sursok was born on August 19th, 1983 in Johannesburg, South Africa. When she was 4 years old, Tammin and her family emigrated to Australia. Tammin grew up in an acting and musical household. Her mother, Julie Sursok, won a Springbok award for Best New Female Vocalist prior to the family leaving for Australia. Her father is a marketing executive. She also has a sister Michelle and a brother Sean. As a youngster, Tammin was involved with the Sydney Youth Musical Theatre where she pursued her interests in acting, music and dance. She also attended the Trinity Speech and Drama College and finished with a High Distinction.
In 2000, Tammin began her role as "Dani Sutherland" on the popular Australian series Home and Away. During that time, she had already begun taking steps towards realizing a promising music career by writing her own songs and practicing guitar. In 2004, she left Home and Away to concentrate fully on her budding musical career. She began recording material for her debut album "Whatever Will Be" which reached platinum status once released.
In 2006, Tammin officially relocated to an apartment in Los Angeles where she is concentrating on her acting career. She has since been working on a guest role on David Spade's Rules of Engagement and spent a month in Kansas filming a lead role in the indie movie Albino Farm. She has since taken over the role of "Colleen Carlton" on the Young and the Restless from Adrianne Leon. Her first air date was July 30, 2007.
