Eyal Podell

Eyal Podell was born on November 11, 1975 in Tel Aviv, Israel. He lived in Israel until the age of two, when his father's job with a Scandinavian shipping company took the family to the United States for a year and then to Hong Kong, China. When Eyal was eight, his family returned to the United States, settling in New York's Westchester County. It was there that Eyal attended Byram Hills High School in Armonk, NY and later Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.

In 1997, the same year he graduated from Dartmouth College and moved to Los Angeles, Eyal scored one of his first acting jobs during a visit to Israel – an Israeli TV commercial for Elite Gold iced coffee. He's since made his big screen debut playing Al Pacino's son in The Insider and has gone to star in movies like Behind Enemy Lines, Blowing Smoke and most recently the independent film Hard Scrambled. His television acting credits are vast, ranging from roles in MTV's Undressed, Charmed, NCIS, Crossing Jordan, Commander In Chief and more recently, his three-year stint as Adrian Korbel on The Young and the Restless.

Not only is Eyal a talented actor, he has also dabbled with writing, having penned three screenplays, including Homeland, The Space Within and Made In China, with co-writer and friend Jonathon E. Stewart. As well, he is trained as a classical actor from his time with the National Theatre Institute and the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford, England.

He is married to wife, Ashley, whom he met through Sean Maher, a high school friend and fellow actor. They have a daughter, Oren Lily, whom they welcomed on October 11, 2006.
