Joe burst onto the scene in the latter half of 2005-2006, finding his scoring touch for Maryhill and firing them to safety in the league, as well as netting the winner in the West of Scotland semi final late on at Dunterlie. He also netted two stunning goals in the 3-3 draw in the final league game of the season at Barrhead. Had previously been turning out for the Dundee United youth team before moving to Lochburn.

John signs for the 'Lie with an impressive pedigree, having plyed his trade for numerous teams in the senior ranks over the last few seasons. He was released by East Fife in May 2006 despite netting eight goals in 23 starts. With a total of 35 goals in a 118 senior starts, it would appear that he is the perfect player for the junior game. Previously linked with Pollok, for whom he played a trial for as he did for Kilwinning Rangers.

McFadden, who has previously turned out for Johnstone Burgh, was a prolific striker with all of his previous clubs, and was one of the first names to be linked with the arrival of Gary Faulds at Dunterlie. He was being watched by Falkirk during the last season, although they had stated they would not be interested if he dropped down to the SuperFirst as he would not develop as a player, perhaps something to bear in mind when he starts banging in the goals for the 'Lie.
