The amount of Glucosamine your pet requires depends on the weight of the individual pet. Here are some general guidelines, but always follow the directions of the manufacturers or your vets recommendations:
Weight of Dog (lbs.) - Recommended Daily Dosage of Glucosamine.
0-10 = 106 mg.
10-40 = 313 mg.
40-100 = 625 mg.
100 and up = 1250 mg.
If the glucosamine you are giving your pet is in liquid form (as recommended), it should be quite a bit easier than getting your pet/s to swallow capsules or pills. With liquid formulas like "Syn-flex For Pets" you can administer the glucosamine either by mixing it in with their water, with their food, or by shooting it into their mouth with a syringe. Some dogs like my own will even happily take it from a spoon.
