My name is Aino Artell and I'm the happy human servant of wonderful feline characters. Unlike many cat owners, I can't claim that I've always been a cat person. However, it must be said in my defense that no-one in my family's circle of friends had cats, so I had no idea what I was missing! When I was a child, I wanted a dog, but my father's various allergies prevented us from adopting one.
It was not until I was nearly of age that I was properly introduced to cats. I stayed for a year in Wales, UK, as an exchange student, and one of my host families had two cats. These lovely kitties, Smudge and Heidi, whose habits of self-consciously lounging on my bed and stealthily misplacing my hair accessories all around the house awakened my interest in domestic felines. The fascination proved lasting and it grew when I befriended more "cat-people". When I was finally able to adopt a cat of my own, I soon got another one, and so it all began! On these pages, I introduce to you my furry friends.
