Arkansas Pet Rabbit Network

Welcome to the Arkansas Pet Rabbit Network!

The Arkansas Pet Rabbit Network was started in July 2006 by Sharon Dumas and Erin Bradford, two long-time rabbit lovers who were looking for a way to provide Arkansas rabbit owners with educational information as well as resources for adoption.

Our little network has grown to over 50 members and 150 rabbits and continues to find homes for homeless bunnies and educate people about their care. We are committed to educating people about the proper care of rabbits and the importance of spay/neuter.

Rabbits and children

We've had a lot of calls lately from people wanting to adopt rabbits for their children. If you have never had a rabbit before, you (and your kids) might be disappointed in their lack of cuddley-ness. Check out this link on the HRS webpage to learn more about what it's really like to have rabbits and kids together.

It's Almost the Holidays!

And for us at ARPRN, that means a ton more calls and emails about unwanted rabbits about three weeks AFTER the holidays are over. Rabbits are NOT good pets for children, so we discourage you GREATLY from buying them as gifts. Instead, check out this national campaign to encourage a different kind of bunny present.

If you have thought long and hard about getting a rabbit (please read the "helpful info" page to see what it takes) and are not just interested in a short-term toy, but rather a long-term commitment to a rabbit buddy, see below or check out our adoptables here.
