Arnettsville Community Center

What's Happening....

Is There Interest?

Is there interest in having lunch on a second day at the center?  If so, what day and would you like it to be a weekly lunch or a monthly lunch on a second day?  If you are interested or know of anyone who is interested, please contact Terri or Cathy.

Is there interest in having a weight control / fitness program possibly like Zumba at the center?  This has been raised as a possible program but before proceeding we want to see if there’s interest.  If you are interested or know of anyone who is interested, please contact Terri or Cathy.

If there are other programs you’re interested in seeing, please let us know.  We can’t promise we’ll do everything, but we are trying to have a broad range of activities and see what the community is interested in having.

Also, if you have the time and interest to help with the planning or execution of one or more activities, your help would be greatly appreciated.  In particular, it would be helpful if someone could help periodically with Senior Lunches and Rummage Room on Tuesdays to become familiar with the routine and to at least be able to fill in when Sherry or Cathy is unable to be there.  It really takes two people to handle everything on that day and it’s difficult if one of them is unable to help on a given Tuesday.

We are beginning a raffle for a Longaberger Tall Tote basket.  Tickets are available for a $2 donation or 3 for a $5 donation.  The winner will be drawn at the Basket Bingo featuring Longaberger baskets on Sunday, October 5 at the Arnettsville Community Center.

You don't have to be present to win any of our raffles.  If you'd like to buy tickets or would like to take some books to help sell tickets, please let us know.  Also, they're available on Tuesdays at the center from 10-2 and at any event at the center.
