Arkansas Tractor Pullers

2006 General Rules

Tractors must be 1959 and older

    Engines: Must remain stock in appearance, shall be same number of cylinders. Combine engine allowed if they are from the same era of tractor. Engines designed to burn diesel may not be converted to gas. No nitrous or alcohol, no 4-barrel carbs, no V-8 engine except funk conversions for 8n Fords. Farm stock 10% over factory RPM, Open 20%, 12 MPH 30%.

    Hitch Height: 20 inches high and 18 inches from center of the rear axle. Front weight bracket must not exceed further than 11 feet from the center of the rear axle including weights. Weight may not extend rearward past rear tires. Hitch shall be fixed solid up and down and side to side. Puller must furnish a 3 in. ring or satisfactory clevis.

    First puller does not have the option to automatically repull. Track official may have puller to repull for purpose of setting the sled. Pull order will be in order of sign up. It is pullers responsibility to be at scale ready to hook when it is his or her turn.

    Driver must remain in seat at all times when pulling.

    Start sled in a safe manner. Start in a slow smooth manner and proceed.

    Unsportsmanlike conduct, failing to stop when red flagged will result in disqualification.

    No alcohol on premise.

    T/A allowed on tractor but cannot be shifted. Differential lock cannot be used in farm stock. May be used in open classes.

    Tractor may be pulled one time per class. No multiple drivers.

    Everyone will cross scales with attendant present before hooking. Hitch height will be checked before hooking. You will be allowed 1% over on weight. Example: 6500 lbs class will be allowed a maximum of 6565 lbs.

    Track official decisions are final.

    No turbo chargers or super chargers.

    No more than 1 updraft agricultural carburetor.

    Hang on weights allowed in all classes.

    Farm stock #1 and #2 may move up to combine and open classes. Farm stock #2 may not move down to farm stock #1. Open class tractors may not move down to farm stock #1 or #2.

    Farm stock #1 & #2 wheelie bars recommended.

    Open classes wheelie bars mandatory

    8 MPH and 12 MPH classes wheelie bars and kill switches mandatory.
