Welcome to my Palace
Hi, I'm Aria and I am a crossdresser (CD). And I thank you for visiting these pages.
I'd like to be able to clarify a few misconceptions about crossdressing.
But lets start out by defining what a crossdresser is.
Crossdresser – A person who wears the clothes of and often acts as a member of the opposite sex. Also known as a transvestite.
We are a largely misunderstood group. Crossdressers are mostly men and usually are heterosexual.
Many believe crossdressing is a for gay men and that the act is perverse. Far from it.
There are many different kinds of cross-dressing, and many different reasons why a person engages in cross-dressing behavior.
Some people cross-dress as a matter of comfort or style.
Some people cross-dress in order to shock others or challenge social norms.
Both men and women may cross-dress in order to disguise their true identity.
Single-sex theatrical troupes often have some performers cross-dress in order to play roles written for members of the opposite sex.
Drag is a special form of performance art based on cross-dressing.
A transvestic fetishist is a person (typically a heterosexual male) who cross-dresses as part of a sexual fetish.
Some cross-dressers begin wearing the opposite sex's clothing as children, using the clothes of a sibling, parent, or friend. Some parents have allowed their children to cross-dress and, in many cases, the child stopped when they became older. Married cross-dressers experience considerable anxiety and guilt if their spouse objects to their behavior.
Here are a few other definitions that may come in handy;
En femme - used by male crossdressers to describe wearing feminine clothing or expressing a feminine personality. Most crossdressers also use a femme (female) name whilst en femme.
Drab - The act of wearing the clothes traditionally associated with your birth sex. For example a male to female crossdresser would be in drab if he was wearing a man’s suit.
Underdressed - used by male cross-dressers to describe wearing female undergarments under their male clothes.
Being Read - When someone realizes that a person is crossdressed and not actually a member of the gender they attempting to present their self as being. Also known as "getting clocked".
Passing -Successfully being perceived as a member of the opposite sex.
