Perhaps I have found a home

I have been searching for hours/days/months/years on end.  Searching for a free site to complete my home stuff and things pages.  I get carried away what with photos and stories, yet I am far too cheap to be paying for space.  This is really sad because to be honest, surfing the web is probably the cheapest form of entertainment ever thought up.. HOURS and Hours of fun filled entertainment. You all would agree with that wouldn't you?

          How I aquired my persona and the game called SPQR

My arrival to ancient sites had nothing to do with my undying interest of Ancient History. Believe me I had no clue. A good buddy brought over the cd rom game SPQR, my sons didn't like the game. So as to not hurt my friends feelings, I tryed to play the stupid game.. I couldn't get very far and it was driving me nuts so Lo' & behold on the cd's case was the url to Ancient sites. (Actually it was www.cybersites.com)

I couldn't post my questions unless I signed up, I was VERY new to the internet, I just did what the sign in place suggested. I believe it said to choose a name I am familiar with or one that I would like to discuss or one that I could write about. but DOH? Not me I knew nothing bout all that. Besides my purpose to come in the first place was to just get a clue or two about the SPQR game and then leave.

So I just looked at my *write e-mail place and it gives u the option to choose a font.. I figured I wouldn't be some ancient person because All I would look like was a font anyway.. little did I know when later I took the font name that a font is really not arial because see, arial is a type face.. a glyph if u will.. On further study, (Like right now today) I find I can look at myself as a glyph (sounding like glitch, thats me a glitch at the site) ( not belonging or not meant to be)

If my memory serves me correct. The first place to choose to live was Rome.. so I took the first thing showing, The Family names.. I was thinking that Caecilius was the first to choose but I know thats wrong.. Perhaps I just wanted it to look like I knew what I was doing. We all know that word pad, e-mails, etc, all let us choose a font.. and yes the first to choose from is Arial unless of course u have the type face called Academy Engraved LET, then that one would be first

Ok Logged in I am now arial Caecilius. ( The font comes later.) At my now favorite community site that is all things ancient.

There I met FeAudrey Pinguinus who leaves the ending of all her posts like this: *Visit the SPQR Companion http://pages.prodigy.net/feaudrey/spqrcmpn.htm  for all things Roman (including spoiler links). The spoilers were there at the time, but I assure you now they are NOT I wish I had taken notes. (so last time I checked) My game remains in it's holder.

Anyway as my story goes.... The Font came much later when the Movie Little Mermaid came out everyone kept thinking I was a mermaid.. It Couldn't have been my first avatar could it have? Yes I borrowed a top naked mermaid in a bubble as a picture in my Library or somewhere ,, that pic is long gone now though.. I hated being referred to as a Mermaid.. I was NO role player whatsoever! So I made the new name Arial the Font (Note now Arial is capped)

A font can be thought of as a collection of glyphs. A single font might have many faces, (Could that have been me? Hearts Hall , arial, Arial the Font? The font of many faces?)such as heavy, medium, oblique, gothic, and regular. All of the faces in a font have similar typographic features and can be recognized as members of the same family. (YES Most people could not hide behind a different persona, they too were recognized)

Oh well I could go on about how I was forced to learn a bit about my family name Caecilius.. but then thats another several paragraphs..I did learn a bit from AS thats for sure.

AS, btw is no longer in operation, the new web site has been refashioned/relocated  I can't decide if I should let you all know where the new and improved site is.  Mainly because old friends don't go there anymore anyway,, the place is just nothing like it used to be.
