CAROL SERVICE
The open air carols in December attracted a number of people and bore a good witness to those who gathered round.
BIBLE EXHIBITION
From Thursday 17th May to Saturday 19th May a Bible Exhibition was held in Newtownards Town Hall. Over the three days it was estimated that about 600 school children and close to 1000 adults visited this event. Each church had a band of willing volunteers and the atmosphere of co-operation between the churches was really noticeable. The stands from Gideons, Wycliffe, and The Bible Society were a very welcome addition to the overall event.
The exhibition not only provided a very good and varied view of the Bible’s relevance to today but provided opportunities for many meaningful conversations both within and outside the hall.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many people who put extraordinary amounts of time and effort into this event.
In the near future the sections of Scripture that were “hand written” will be bound and formally presented to the local library. A piece of local history kept for generations to see.
FUSION YOUTH EVENT
The first Youth event was held recently in the Queens Hall, Newtownards with a good number of young people present. The early arrival of the speaker and friends meant that all the local schools were visited and invited along.
