My links

I've gathered several links here, most art related- some just for fun. Pleae wander through and enjoy!

Groups & forums & on/off-line communities:

Fairbanks Watercolor Society:  http://www.geocities.com/fairbanks_watercolor/index.html  This is a local art society of which I am a grateful member. You can read through some of our newsletters, and see links to several member pages as well as get some local information/photos/ and other refrence links.

Fairbanks Arts Association:   http://www.fairbanksarts.org/  Also happily a member of this local and wonderful group. They are the charter local group most the local Arts, Artist, and Art Groups fall under.

Found Myself: http://www.foundmyself.com/  This fun website is self described as 'an online artistic community, online galleries, and general dissussion board, and a lot of fun.

Art Skuttlebutt :  http://www.artscuttlebutt.com/ the website of ArtCallendar, hands down the best Artist's Buisness magazine I've ever read, and inclueds their online forum, whic is much more human and comassionate that the magazine sounds... after all to nurture ceativity we must nurture the soul.

The Painter's Keys: http://www.painterskeys.com/  An inspirational site- they put out a twice weekly newsletter of insights, inspirations and unusual thoughts designed to bring your creativity inot a focused artistic endevor of your own choosing. They also have an online directory of Artist memebers to help expand exposure on the web.

I-Sketch: http://www.isketch.net/ an online variation of Pictionary / or Win Loose or Draw... teaches computer mouse drawing skills in a fun way!

Graphitti-dot-Org: http://www.graffiti.org/ dedicated to the artistic side of urban expressionism, without regard to legality, IOW a Graphitii Site.

Individual's webpages:

Betsy Bear:   http://www.betsybearcreations.com/  A local artist who has helped me to refine my website, even if she didn't realize it at the time.

Carol L. Haywood : http://www.geocities.com/art41clh/ another artist, who wrote the "Why Buy Art" blurb that I use with her permission- Thanks again!

Nikki Kinne: http://www.watercolors-bynikkinne.com/ a Local artist that has helped me get into the swing of marketing my art, Thank you.

Gail Baxley-Murakami http://murakamistudio.com/ local artist who is directly responsible for introducing me to ATC's...

ATC's:

What's an ATC? it stands for Artist's Trading Cards- basy miniature artworks, only 2 1/2 inches buy 3 1/2 inches that are traded on a one for one basis- never sold.

The ATC Website: http://www.artist-trading-cards.ch/index.htm an oldy but a goody.

My ATC Gallery http://www.foundmyself.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=17 dedicated to saving the images of ATC's I've traded away.

Well that's it for now. Keep watching here, I'll add more as I aquire them...
