Arcantora Duo
Formed in 2006, the Arcantora duo consists of Scottish violinist/pianist Mark Wilson and Swedish violist/soprano Nina Kopparhed.
The duo is ideally suited to performing in a wide variety of settings from cruise ships to concert halls. Nina and Mark have given recitals in The United States, U.K., Brazil, Bolivia, Sweden, France, Holland and Ireland as well as playing for all sorts of corporate events and functions.
Arcantora always provides an exciting and varied programme, including repertoire for voice and piano, voice and violin, solo violin, violin and viola and encompassing everything from Bach to Villa- Lobos.
The duo is priviliged to work with some of Britain's best chamber musicians who can supplement the ensemble for performances of larger scale chamber works.
Arcantora Trio
Mark and Nina together with violinist and pianist Neil McTaggart are Arcantora Trio: this version of Arcantora is perfect for cruises, as it offers even more flexibility!
Not only can they provide music for violin/viola, violin/soprano and soprano/piano: in this collaboration they also provide string trio (2 violins and viola), piano trio (violin/viola/piano), soprano/violin/piano, as well as violin/piano. This flexibility is perfect for cruises, as not one concert will feature excactly same combination of instruments, providing an enjoyable and exciting variety, which will continue to surprise and delight the audience throughout the cruise.
