How does Aqua Suite work during acclimation?

First, carefully transfer your fish with the pet store water into the Aqua Suite. Then hang the Aqua Suite inside the aquarium. A few pumps of the easy to start Aqua Suite siphon will begin to slowly remove the pet store water into a waste container. Then you simply open up the valves to allow fresh aquarium water to replace the pet store water in the Aqua Suite. The valves provide for precise drip control.

What happens to the pet store water from the transit bag?

The pet store water is drained into a waste container. Over time the pet store water is replaced inside the Aqua Suite with water from your own aquarium. Once your acclimation or hospitalization period is complete you can simply transfer the fish into your tank.

How do I set up the Aqua Suite to top off my tank with fresh water or add my water additives?

The Aqua Suite uses gravity flow to precisely control your additives. You can place the Suite on top of your tank and gravity will draw the additives through the provided tubing into your water column. It is always advisable to drip into an area of your tank where there is good water movement from your pumps or power heads. 

If you have a sump, you can hang the Aqua Suite on the outside of your aquarium or the door to your cabinet. Then feed the provided tubing into your sump.

Will I have to worry about pH fluctuations while I am dosing my water additives?

The Aqua Suite is designed with even the reef tank in mind. Because the valves provide for precise drip control, your additives can be slowly dripped into your aquarium over 8 hours without the fear of fluctuations in your water chemistry. It is always advisable to drip into an area of your tank where there is good water movement from your pumps or power heads. 

Will medications leach into my aquarium?

If you are medicating a sick fish the valve controls can be opened up so that the flow is greater through the Aqua Suite. In this way, the flow will be enough to prevent reverse leaching back into the tank. 

What is the capacity of the Aqua Suite?

A single Aqua Suite has a holding capacity of up to 1/2 gallon (7" L x 3.24" W x 6" H).

What if I need more volume?

Aqua Suites can be connected together to provide increased water storage. Each Aqua Suite can control water flow for up to 8 hours. Two Suites connected would provide for up to 16 hours of precise drip control.

What if my valves get clogged?

Aqua Suite valves are designed to be easily removed and cleaned with a small wire or tooth pick.
