I plan on going by the pen name Julia Marcus (don't ask my real name-I prefer not to use my full name in regards to this). Aquamarine was a high school nickname of mine. I'm 23, a semi-professional photographer 11 months out of the year-but for the second November running, I am a novelist. My 2005 attempt was hindered by work, school and other obligations, so I'm really hoping to win this year!
I am a huge sports fan, and a former athlete. I played on a boys' roller hockey team for 4 years before I was diagnosed with an Achilles' tendon weakness. This is how the original story came about. Many characters also take their traits from friends of mine from high school.
I have always been a predominately romance writer, and I couldn't quite write a story without including a romance. So be warned. . .they are involved characters, and they sometimes go into great detail

I have big plans for future NaNoWriMo novels, but this series is just for fun and just for me.
