Lahad mein ishq rukhe shah ka daagh le ke chale
1. My heart will glow through my love for the Prophet’s unique station;
Having heard that the night is dark, I am carrying this lamp for illumination.
2. O Prophet! The footprints of your servants are the surest guide to Allah--consciousness;
Those, who follow their example, are destined to achieve supreme spiritual success.
3. The graves of the lovers of your four Companions will become the bowers of Paradise: Those, who carry four gardens in their hearts, will certainly be made flowers of
4. They went, paid their homage to your grave and came back with pangs of separation; Though the tears have dried in their eyes, their hearts are still full of admiration.
5. Some Paradise-mad people have degraded themselves to the level of rooks;
They should know that Medinah, the radiant, is the very essence of
6. The cloud of your conversation possesses neither moisture nor texture;
An eloquent person has to bring his own eloquence to create literary pleasure.
7. Is there anything more significant than praising Allah's Messenger?
Obviously, you are pretending to run away under a deceptive cover.
8. O Prophet! Your elegance and grace have been upheld by the Creator.
Even Jibreel cannot dare to understate the excellence of your splendour.
9. I have no complaint against Satan's disciple about his arrogance;
He is unashamedly holding high his master's banner of insolence.
10. Every descendant praises the traits of the character of his ancestor;
Every Cup-bearer's son proudly passes round the tavern the cup of his father.
11. Who is this insolent man, who calls Allah "a liar"? What a sinister blame!
Whose ignoble mission is he propagating against Allah ?What a shame!
12. The occurrence of "a lie" and the absolute Truth of Allah are incompatible:
Such a point of view is plainly ignorant idiotic and horrible.
13. Is there any heretic such an evil- minded heretic and a traitor;
Who can bring a stupid and impossible blame of "a lie" against his Creator.
14. The blind man has developed the habit of using only the soup (not the meat);
He fell for a crow because he could not obtain a quail to eat.
15. A vicious woman is for a vicious man and a vicious man for a vicious woman;
Birds of a feather flock together; an eagle is for a eagle and a raven for a raven.
16. It is the same for them, who have jettisoned their faith to the crows;
Whether these birds were born in the wild forests or in the garden hedgerows.
17. O Raza! Have you ever kissed the feet of any dog in the Prophet's city?
As a loyal servant you should have known better and shown more humility.
