Most licenses are crafted to remove the rights of the end-user. The AppomattoxSoft General Public License, in contrast, is placed on all AppomattoxSoft products to ensure that you will have full access to our, and any derivitive, products.
Information for the end-user (you)
AppomattoxSoft allows you to install and use this software product, without limits, on this, and an unlimited number of other, computers and/or servers. You are also legally entitled and encouraged to distribute this product to anyone who may wish to use it. AppomattoxSoft affirms to you that this is a copyleft software product and such may never be changed.
Information for the software developer and those interested in use of the source code
AppomattoxSoft grants you full access to edit this program for any purpose so long as the following conditions are met:
1) Any derivitive work is released under one of the following licenses:
a) Appomattox General Public License
b) GNU General Public License
c) GNU Lesser General Public License
2) Any derivitive work must display in it's readme file, or another place in the application that it is a derivitive of this work and that the original is this work.
3) Derivitives of this work must allow full access to the source code of at least the portion of the work that contains this application.
4) Derivitives may not restrict access to use the program.
If these conditions are met, you may revise and/or edit this program and, if desired, release it as a product in a company related or unrelated to AppomattoxSoft. You may also charge for distributing the derivitive application, and/or the source code, however, they both must be in compliance with free redistribution.
