AppomattoxSoft: Free yourself

Why are we called AppomattoxSoft?
At the end of the civil war was the battle of Appomattox Courthouse, in which, General Robert E. Lee surrendered to to Ulysses S. Grant, ending the Civil War. Afterwards, slavery was abolished.

It is our belief that end-users should not be 'slaves' to their chosen applications, or to the corporations that make them. We make applications that, although may not end the slavery, help lift it off and free consumers, as well as speed some things up, and secure the end-users a bit more.

In compliance with this belief, all of our applications are either released under our AppomattoxSoft Public (AGPL) License, or the GNU General Public License (GNU GPL), and someday all our products should be covered by GNU GPL.

The AGPL can be read here.
The GNU GPL can be read on this page.
