20th December Thank you to Hakan Erlandson ( Chairman of the Swedish
New Forest Pony Society) for sending pictures of his colt foal
Mallardswood Flashlight by Applewitch Pure Magic Dam Spotlight .
Flashlight has arrived safely in Sweden & is now living happily with three other
foals .All good wishes to Hakan & Spotlight for the future.
2nd December Great news from Catherine Tristam . Magic's son
Rodlease Special Magic was a member of the "Bad Ponies Team"
taking second place at the Grafton Hunt Team Chases held at Swancliffe Manor .
Special is seen first left (14hh) dark bay with a white star.Well done!
17TH NOVEMBER This is our newest arrival A beautiful Forest Bred blue roan filly by
Lovelyhill Hijack . She is called "Rambling Rosie " We hope to show her next season.

Jess not only looked FABULOUS but went extremely well
Applewitch Stud is indeed proud of him . Unfortunately the judges didn't see
fit to include any of the three Foresters in the top nine . We await marks to
see exactly where Jess came. Apologies for pictures I had problems with camera
so just putting a couple up to show the atmosphere.

MARE GRADING NFPB & CS
September 26th. The grading took place at Beaulieu Road Sale Yard it was
a very strange feeling having Clair in the sale ring! The were three judges ,
each marks the pony separately & an average score is worked out .
Claire obtained 82% pass mark.

SEPTEMBER 12TH Fantasia was 1st in the 4y rs & over class yeld mares & geldings

NEW FOREST PONY BREED SHOW
August 31st Fantasia was second in the yield mare class exc 138cms (29 entries)
Maid was second in the large yearling class & received her invitation to the special
yearling & foal show to be held in the Autumn at Ford Farm Brockenhurst.

27th August Fantasia did it again ! She was M & M Champion in hand , Best of Breed & won
the Silver Medal Rosette qualifying her for NPS Championships 2010 & a big thank you to
Sue Blagburn who showed the ponies for us .
Applewitch Maid by Magic was 3rd in M & M large breeds younstock & best yearling.

23 August Congratulations to Rachel Green & 2 year old Applewitch Astrologer who won
three firsts and the Championship at Cadnam Show! Great news , thank you Rachel.
NEWS FROM HOLLAND
16th August Eikenhorst Merel by Applewitch Pure Magic AI bred in Holland won
the four year old & over barren mare class (news from Jen de Greef)
National Pony Society Championship Show .
6th August Applewitch Roan Fantasia Reserve Champion in the M & M Home produced Final.Alan desperately hoped he could show Fanny but had to admit defeat so I made a comeback & showed Fanny for the Home Produced section .Our good friend Glen Mitchener showed her in the strong New Forest Class to take 3rd place the judge preferring the finer ponies. She was a finalist in the Silver Medal & British Isles Championships & did us proud she is such a willing pony & always tries to please.
Applewitch Magister was third in the Ridden Intermediate Final & 6th in the ridden M & M stallion Class (the highest placed New Forest) .
Congratulations to Kerry Humble from the Lovelyhill Stud winning the NF Section of the Picton Novice Ridden Final.with her young dun stallion Burley Hallmark.

29th July We just took one pony , five year old Applewitch Roan Fantasia , Alan was still lame & trotting up short so Del Dewdney very kindly showed Fantasia for us & did an excellent job taking 1st Place in the 4 yrs old & over Yeld mare class Fanny has now won 4 times out of 5 at the NF Show . The MJM Team's Applewitch Magister competed in two classes he was 2nd in the Ridden Stallion NF Class & came 7th in the NF / CON section of the Olympia Qualifier I would be pleased to hear of any other owners Applewitch ponies who did well .
Chard Horse Show Somerset
12th July Applewitch Roan Fantasia won the large breeds M & M class & the In Hand NPS Silver Medal Championship , ( the only class she entered ) this means she has now qualified for a total of three finals at the NPS Championship Show she had already won the Home Produced & The British Isles Championships at Wessex NPS Show in Brockenhurst . She was also Owner/breeder Champion there.
July 11th . Royal Show . Applewitch Maid by Magic 1st Yearling class & Reserve Mare Champion, this made it a hat trick for her as she was 1st at Three Counties & 1st at The Royal Bath & West . Applewitch Roan Fantasia 4th in 4 yr old & over class mare or gelding .Our grateful thanks to Kate Robb who took over the reins after Alan hurt his foot.
