December 10th News from Victoria Australia a picture of Magic's son Bain Park Nebiolo (conceived by AI using frozen semen ) now two years old a beautiful dark bay colt & measuring approximately 14 hh at present . His breeder Sandra Barry tells us he will be going to his first shows in January & Febuary we look foward to hearing how he gets on , especially at the prestigious Australian HOYS held at Barastoc in the New Year . Great to see some green grass in Sandra's image after all their years of drought .
November 19th A new arrival to our stud a wooly filly foal " Fascinating Rhythm" to be a friend for our stud filly Applewitch Maid by Magic . Rhythm is Forest Bred by Lovelyhill Hendrix & her dam is by Obershade Skylark she carries the most amazing very old bloodlines & should make a great match with our stallion Magic when she is old enough .We plan to show her & chase a few Forest Bred rosettes in the meantime! A grateful thank you to young commoner Daniel Drodge for allowing us to buy Rhythm.
November 10th Judith Burke writes to give us news of Applewitch Charisma's full brother Ravens Mojo competing in a Parelli Tournament when he came 6th overall & also got the highest achiever of the day award . Mojo was ridden in a "natural hackamore " & bareback pad (no stirrups) Well done Judith & Mojo they are currently working for their level two parelli grade.
October 28th We are delighted to receive news & images from Doreen Mewes in Lincolnshire owner of Applewitch Charisma (dam Morganna ) now aged ten years old , she was one of Magic's first foals & its so good to hear how she is getting on as she was special to us. Thank you Doreen.

New Forest Picton Championship Final 2nd Applewitch Roan Fantasia home produced & ridden by our daughter Anna . 3rd Applewitch Magister produced & ridden by Matthew Lawrence owned by the MJM Team . ( Congratulations tothe winner Willoway Memory an older & more experienced pony produced by Willoway Stud. All three are grandchildren of the legendary Peveril Peter Piper)
(The last Picton Qualifer NF/CON class the day before Championship Magister was 1st and Roan Fantasia 2nd. )
The pairs class was a family affair with Aunty Claire & niece Fantasia , riders daughter Anna grandaughter Lisa ,home produced by Grandma. Our pink ponies went well & gave good account of themselves in the evening performance in this huge hotly contested class.
Home Produced Ridden M & M class Anna & Claire , a good 6th place in a lagre open class .

29th June Cadnam Show . There were 14 ponies foward in the 1, 2 & 3 year old New Forest Class . Magic's daughters took the first two places . 1st was Gill Wright's powerful roan yearling filly Burley Prophecy ( dam Weirs Aveline ) . 2nd Kath Penna 's 2 year old bright bay filly Forestheath Sapphire (dam Lucky Lane Susan ) .
21st June Midland In Hand Show Three Counties Show Ground Malvern. "Tansy" ( see details below under Three Counties Show ) 2nd in Open class all ages & Best Yearling Reserve Champion .
19th June News from DR Pam Watts her home bred filly ( by Applewitch Pure Magic x Silverdeer Ellie ) WELHAM WATER BABY was 2nd in the 2 & 3 yr old NF class at EANPS & at East of England in the 3 yrs old & under M & M class was third , the only NF in the class .Thank you Pam for sending this we like to hear about Applewitch progeny & welcome news & pictures from owners.
5th June East Midlands Welsh Pony & Cob Association Summer Show. RAVENS WIZZARD sire Applewich Pure Magic bred by Peter Eckford & owned by Cass Pickford qualified for the Picton Novice Ridden Championships ridden by Cass's ten year old daughter Polly ,they came second in the NPS M & M Jnr. Ridden class . WELL DONE POLLY ! We look foward to meeting you at the NFPB & CS Breed Show in August . We are so pleased this is the fourth pony with our blood lines to qualify this year. 15th June NPS Wessex -Area 24 Open Summer Show Brockenhurst. The stallion Applewitch Magister ( Applewitch Pure Magic x Samsons Maiden ) won the NF /CON section of the Picton NOV Ridden Qualfier & went on to be Novice Ridden Champion ridden by Matthew Lawrence owned by the MJM Show Team . 13th June Three Counties Show Malvern . Applewitch Clairvoyant ridden by Anna 3rd in the Picton & highest placed NF. Applewitch Roan Fantasia 2nd in the 4yrs old & over NF mare or gelding .The yearling filly Twilight Tansy (Applewitch Pure Magic X Sturtmoor Pennycress) bred by the Sommerfield family ,owned by Mr R Day from Hardwicke Gloucestshire won the yearling class & went on to RES NF Champion. 30th May Royal Bath & West Show Applewitch Roan Fantasia 2nd in the 4 year old & over mare class . We decided not to do the Ridden class as the ground was so bad following the severe rain fall causing flash floods in Somerset and the show ground the previous evening , show jumping classes were cancelled. 25th May APPLEWITCH MAGISTER

11th May Young Farmers Show Brockenhurst . We didn't enter but I went along to see Magic's three year old son Marleydene Shiraz shown by owner Alex Humble n the stallion class , he was placed third despite being rather excited by it all , a good start to the showing season. Shiraz looks very like his sire & I shall enjoy watching his progress in the future . 3rd May PONIES ASSOCIATION (UK) 2008 South Show Newbury Berkshire Applewitch Roan Fantasia 3rd in the Kingsford Confined Novice M & M Ridden Qualifier & highest placed New Forest Pony. 28th April NEW FOREST PONY ENTHUIASTS SHOW BROCKENHURST APPLEWITCH CLAIRVOYANT Ridden by Anna Ganley took 1st Place in the large novice ridden class ,there were 21 competitors in this strong class with a riding judge & a conformation judge. Claire was placed 5th in the even bigger " Picton Qualifier ".We only took the one pony to this show so were well pleased with the good results . Well done Anna . 22nd April We are delighted to hear that Gypsy of Dogdean Farm , a lovely piebald ,former driving cob , & Magic's first coloured "wife" has produced a coloured colt. 5th April South Western Association of the WPCS Show Yeovil APPLEWITCH ROAN FANTASIA NOVICE RIDDEN MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND CHAMPION & PICTON QUALIFIER. This was four year old Fantasia's first ever time in the ring under saddle a wonderful start to her ridden career . 17th March THE NEW FOREST PONY BREEDING & CATTLE SOCIETY ELITE SCHEME CULMINATIVE RESULTS TOP SIRES 2002 - 2 007 APPLEWITCH PURE MAGIC 13th This is a good result for Magic as we only breed two foals per annum ourselves the remaining progeny scoring points for him are from visiting mares. We are expecting in 2008 to see more progeny performing under saddle & look foward with interest to next years results. 15th March Our first class of the new season Tambrook Show at Crofton Manor Equestrian Centre Applewitch Clairvoyant ridden by Anna Ganley came 3rd in the NPS M & M Novice Ridden all the other compeditors were Welsh Cobs ! Claire behaved well & ( dare I say it ? ) was like a ballerina in amongst the rugby players, she qualified for the NPS & PUK Winter Championships & the Tambrook/Crofton Evening Finals Championship Ridden Show . This is a pleasing start to 2008. 28th Feb. We are delighted to report that APPLEWITCH ASTROLOGER has been bought by Rachel Green from the New Forest . We wish her every success with Astro & look foward to seeing him out & about locally.Image shows Astro aged 8 months, 20th Febuary. Breeder Penny Prosser writes she was "over the moon " when the yearling filly Aylestonepark Apple Blossom won the NF Youngstock Championship & went on to take the RESERVE NF SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP at the NF PONY Association of Australia Inc. open M & M Show at the 2008 BARASTOC HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW , Victoria Australia, this was "Apple's" first show this season after many events were cancelled due to the Equine Flue outbreak . The judge was Mrs C A Mooreland from the UK, Apple is by our stallion Applewitch Pure Magic out of Annecypark Chantelle. 28th January Introducing the newest member of our showing scheme."Broadlands Politics" Sire Applewitch Pure Magic Dam Many times Champion,Olympia & Hoys qualifier ( 5th place ) Fijal Polonaise , Politics will make his debut in the yearling classes this season .
