There are two reasons for this page. One is in response to the often spoken fear that deception is likely to enter in if we gather in the scriptural way. The fact is, the scriptural way of gathering is the safest way of all forms of meeting. Yes, we do have to take the effort to deal with diverse doctrines but this actually equips us with more ability to discern the true from the false and thereby helps us mature spiritually. The links are supplied so one can review a few of the doctrinal topics which have come up over the years and have had to be dealt with by the whole assembly. There have been a number of issues over time but only a few that occasioned putting anything in writing. The second reason is that the topics below could possibly be issues with other assemblies as well, since they are being promoted by many at present and therefore this page might be a help to them.
FEAST AND FAMINE: CONCERN OVER THE LORD'S SUPPER
This topic is one concerning the Lord's Supper. Was it meant to be a full communal meal or a symbolic loaf and cup? This topic was brought into the assembly by a brother who had himself been persuaded of the full meal interpretation. We were unaware at the time of the prevalence of this doctrine. The assembly gave it much consideration and came to the conclusion that it is an unsound teaching. After which a brother came to the area and spoke at a "conference" promoting the same full meal doctrine. Thus this letter was sent out to they that attended that "conference":

RESPONSE TO THE "GODMAN" PAPER
Many who have obeyed the Lord and begun gathering in the simple way presented in the scriptures have come across others who also have done the same. Only to find not all are as they had hoped. Sadly, some have formed movements and systems that are unhealthy. This letter below addresses some of the doctrines that have come to us through a brother who had been in one of these movements prior to meeting with us.
