Welcome to my poetry site.

I offer this website as a way to share my writing with those who mutually share a love of reading and/or writing in any manner of literary theme or genre.

First and foremost I write for the love of writing. On this site you will find samples of my original poems and articles touching on a diverse range of themes from romantic poetry, nature and the environment, tributes, death, birth, the many experiences of life, travel, friendship poetry, war poetry, fantasy and much more.

Also included here are links to my various literary and promotional websites and numerous literary sites that I strongly recommend you visit often. I will also provide literary news items, RSS feeds, links to writing and website resources including where to publish poetry, updates on my publications and more.

I truly hope that all visitors to this poetic place enjoy their reading experience here and return often. Please sign my guest book through the link provided on the navigation (left) column of this page. Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

Words captured here in sweet repose

Reflections, missives, things perceived

Poetic landscape, pastel shades

Blessings, heartache, unveiled dreams

An outstetched hand in sympathy

A knowing glance, a firm embrace

Touching hearts with words that heal

A portrait drawn painstakingly

   Minstrel's Song

On weathered leather of piano stool
Postured songster croons a poetic churn
Smooth as butter yet with a rustic spin
Octaves played out, slow pentatonic verse
Ivory keys dance by gnarled fingers' touch
Blistered, weeping digits play minstel song
Notes of pain and anger, words bitterly
Interrogate, chastise indifference
Of benign passersby, a wary glance
At this wordsmith decrying modern man
A scourge of society, whispered prose
Faint samplings of humanity eagerly
Bemused, his angst tempered by waning smile
Rhythmic notes linger, foot pedal caress
This barter of utterance lost in time
Walks to a beat of a different drum
Eyes turned away, tears fall in misery
His blackface painted somber, minstrel sings

Still

Your eyes betray a heart gone cold
Once proffered hand withdrawn in pain
Dispel your anger, look away
Tears burning, fall in silence...

Still

By nature sweet, of innocence
Yet scorn befalls your tainted soul
Surely not I who gave you this
Resignedly, you waiver...

Still

Disclaim our wretched part in this
The torment we both deeply share
Confused by what now is and was
Embrace our strength, together...

Still

Love touched by cautious finger tips
Trace thoughts unspoken, lips refrain
From voicing words in remedy
Hands lowered slowly, empty...

Still

Forgive what sadness I invoke
The pain and emptiness you bare
Reclaim so much that you and I
Cherished, desired, then and...

Still
