Craigs headlight experience
Hi
About 3 or 4 years ago I was driving my car along a road which goes from Balfron towards Gartmore(Stirlingshire, Scotland).
I had my lights on high beam, and the lights suddenly went out.
My first reaction was to switch to low beam and the lights came on.
This was a bit scary as I was plunged into darkness around 40 mph.
A few days later the same thing happened on the same stretch of road.
That was more scary, but it happened again in total 4 or 5 times all within around 400 yards of each other.
I had mentioned this to my girlfriend and she was with me in the car once when it happened, but she just laughed as she thought I switched the lights off myself.
At that time I was travelling around 100 miles a day and in all the years I had that car this only happened on that small stretch of road.
The only thing I noticed unusual about the road was a power(or phone line) was hanging down quite low at the side of the road.
If this was the cause of my lights going out, I would like it explained to me how that would happen.
Let me know your views on this experience.
Cheers,
Craig
Can you help Craig out by offering an explanation?
ORB NEAR THE TV
This photo was taken at the house of Paranormal Investigation Scotland team co-ordinator Alex.17th June 2004 at approx 1pmThere appears to be an orb in front of the television.
The photo was taken in broad daylight with a kodak dc280 digital camera settings normal.
The camera is pointing north.
The close up of the same photo appears to show a face.
Alex thinks it is just the sun reflecting off of a window in the house across the street then into the camera lens.
But, that does not explain the face. Anyone any ideas?

It is broad daylight. Notice the orb in front of the speaker.

Christophers Story
The following true story was submitted my Christopher R and his brother Michael, from North Carolina U.S.A
Name(s): ChristopherR(Narrator), Michael R(asleep at the time)
Age(s) at time of event: 7, 8
Age(s) now: 14, 16
Event: Ghosts citings(3)
Location of Event: North Carolina U.S.A
It was1998 I was seven. I was in my bedroom which I shared with my
brother Michael(who was asleep at the time). It was either very late at
night or very early in the morning. My bedroom door was open and I had the
hallway light on. I had been sitting up in my bed rapped in my blanket all
except for my face when I saw a little boy no older than 3 1/2 walk in to my
room only he was smoke like only very distinct(almost solid looking) as
all color had been removed from him, his hair and his clothes. He walked
from the door to the right side of the bottom of my bed and stopped. Then a
plump women(About 5ft tall)walked through the door and stopped right behind
the boy. Then a man wearing a suit or uniform with a hat(drawn in diagram)
walked in and stopped right behind the women. Moments later they began to
march forward(my right>) and disappeared right in front of my closet(which
was closed). He was either In Military or worked at a restaraunt(the hats are
simillar sometimes in America)

We would like to say thank you to the boys for submitting this very interesting story.
If you would like to give the boys feedback about this event please email us with your comments and we will pass them on to the boys. Thank you.
Guthrie Castle
The following article was submitted by Penny Campbell, of Birmingham uk. Penny is formerly from Angus Scotland
I was so pleased to find your website, I think it is great that Scotland finally has it's own team for conducting investigations into Paranormal activities.
I just wanted to let you know of my experiences whilst growing up in Angus and later on in Birmingham.
When I first left school in 1990, I had the good fortune of working at Guthrie Castle for the summer. I was requested to clean the allegedly haunted suite, (I wasn't told until afterwards that it had the reputation of being haunted, this caused the other staff some amusement.) I never found these rooms uncomfortable in the slightest and never had any experience there, it was another room on the same landing that caused me some discomfort. Known as the Ladies Sitting Room, it was mostly decorated in red, so I called it the red room. This room (it also had a smaller adjoining room) never had a pleasant feeling about it. From the first time I entered it, there was a most unpleasant oppresiveness which I found hard to describe. Upon entering the room, I always felt overcome with feelings of malice and hatred, quickly I learnt to dismiss these feelings and distance myself from them, but on one occasion, these became very strong, I felt almost taken over by such hatred, I felt absolute hate towards everyone else in the Castle. I felt distanced from myself, as if it was someone else seeing the room with my eyes (I know this sounds strange),when I came out of it, I left the room. From that time on, I always felt someone watching me from that room. (I hated cleaning the stair rods, as the staircase lead down from close to that room door. I can feel the hairs on the back of my neck rise as I think about those feelings.) This never happened with any other part of the castle.
Within the same year, at my mother's flat in Forfar, we had another experience, I say we, because this time my sister, mother and myself witnessed it, as did her dog.
My mother called me into the front room complaining of smelling smoke, I entered the room and sure enough from the corner of the living room we could smell cigarette smoke. None of us smoked, I checked the windows, they were all closed, we had no fire-place, so I cannot understand how the smoke could have entered the room. This was puzzling, but not scary. The reaction of my mother's dog however, chilled me. He came into the room and stood as far from the corner where we could smell the smoke, as he could. He raised his hackles and stared into the corner, growling. I couldn't take any more and left the room. Shortly after this, my mother told me the smell vanished, not faded, just vanished immediately.
Not much else happened (though my mother and I know my father came back to us a few weeks after he died) for a few years.
When we moved to the address in the South of Birmingham, for a few months after moving into the house, I heard footsteps every evening walk across the floor above us. Our bedroom was above the sitting room, and as we had a two year old son at the time, I thought perhaps it was him walking about. However every time I would go upstairs to investigate it, nothing could be found, our son would be fast asleep and there was no-one else in the house. Eventually I stopped bothering to go upstairs, but would continue to hear the footsteps cross from where the door was towards the window. We found that the only previous occupant of that house had been an elderly woman, who moved into the house when it was first built and had lived there for 53 years. After about 5 months the footsteps eventually ceased, my husband, who was with me every evening, never heard them.
We have since moved again. A few other things have happened since, not much, having my name called when I was alone in this house, hearing the name Isabella (we found there was a deceased sister of the previous occupant with that name.
I am however, still very curious about my experiences at Guthrie Castle and wondered if anyone else had any experiences there.
Regards,
Penny
