Throughout his teenage years he began to hear disembodied voices and recieve feelings and messages for people who lived around him. He became increasingly rebellious and tried his best to ignore the experiences and concentrated on two of the loves of his life, music and partying! As he puts it himself "I wanted to be the cool rock star guy, not the weird guy who talked to dead people!" However, the experiences continued into his twenties when he met his wife, Nina. Thankfully, she realised Tom`s abilities and accepted them after watching him experience 'transfiguration'. Tom says he genuinely thought she would run a mile. Nina now helps to run the day to day busy booking schedule for consultations and organises live appearances by Tom.

After working in the mental health sector and as a bodyguard, Tom began to use his abilities again and perform tarot readings for friends and their families. Soon his reputation grew and he had to make the difficult choice - to become a full-time psychic. After some trepidation and consultation with his then fiance Nina, he took the major step on the road to developing his abilities even more and devoting his time to making psychic mediumship his life`s work.
