SYNOPSIS OF DAVID’S CAREER

 

 

VISION

 

Improve the quality of life of our people and economic prosperity of our islands by working

to attract more visitors and investors and by assuring them a clean, safe, economically viable

and progressive community that is responsive to changing needs.

 

MISSION

 

I will work diligently in partnership with members in both houses and the administration to

continue to earn the trust, respect, and support of our citizens as we strive to revive

our economy, modernize our island’s infrastructure, and improve our government operations.

 

GOAL

·        Work to ensure a safe, drug-free environment for our citizens, young and old.

·        Maximize the effectiveness of Public Safety and Public Service Programs.

·        Continue to work with educators, legislators and the administration to invest in our public and

private schools so we can open new doors of learning and opportunity for our children.

·        Facilitate economic and business development.

·        Continue to improve essential services and infrastructure in the most efficient manner.

 

SYNOPSIS OF DAVID’S CAREER

 

David was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1967. He was barely 20 years old when he got

sent to Vietnam during the Vietnam era for two tours. After a good twenty years in the military,

David retired and returned home to Saipan. He continued to serve us in the CNMI government

since 1987 as CNMI Procurement Chief. He was elected into office and served at the Saipan and

Northern Islands Municipal Council in 1994. In November 1995, he ran and won a seat in the

House of Representatives. David is a humble person. He cares and helps people regardless

of ethnic group, color, religion, age or political affiliation. He was instrumental in a lot of

community projects, such as road improvement, water, power and sewer upgrade and/or

installation, to name a few. Although he ran unsuccessfully in the 2001 election, it did not stop him

from helping the community. David feels that he could do more for our people if he is in office.

Therefore, he is respectfully asking for your vote of confidence in this upcoming election.
