 News
20th May,2005 ApaawaAfraframix version 1.1 is now ready but it is very unstable. Due to some technical problems, I am planning to discontinue the project. However I am starting it as an open source project so all coders who are interested can download the RapidQ source files (available on the downloads page) and do some modifications or work on them. You can even study the code and build your own software out of it but if you should do so please try to give me some credits and also try to mail me and tell me about it. Maybe when I have a little time on my hand I would also do some small improvements probably clean out the code, add comments to the code, work on the monitoring and a few other extras (like auto DJ). I may also start a site for the project soon.

Anyway version 1.1 features

  • Keyboard Shortcuts
  • Automatic BPM Detection
  • Support for WMA and CD-Audio
  • Scrolling Titles on the LCD Panels
  • And lots of Bug Fixes!

Another release of ApaawaAfraframix would soon come out. This version would be known as ApaawaAfraframix APE (Anti-Payola Edition). It is going to be completely reprogrammed on another platform. No promises yet but I am considering releasing Linux and Win32 versions. It would still use the BASS audio library and probably FMOD for those who prefer it. Be expecting a first beta release in about a few months. I would still continue to give you info as they drop.

If you have any problems with the RapidQ source files or you want to help me code ApaawaAfraframix APE  then you can send me a mail; simpaghana@yahoo.com

29th April, 2005. Version 1.1 would be ready soon.
