SLAINTE! Saturday August 23, 2008 was our 2nd Annual Irish Fest! Just like last year, we started the festival immediately following 4:30 mass in the St. Ann's Parking Lot. The Wild Geese played while we ate our Irish Chicken BBQ (Stearns). The Drumcliff School of Irish Dance started around 7:45 and The Dady Brothers went till 11:30! The Ladies of Columbus Cake booth sold out again! Games for the kids were on the school lawn. The weather stayed perfect for enjoying the music and dance of Ireland! Proceeds from our Irish Fest will benefit the Hornell YMCA, St. Ann's School and Steuben County Faith in Action.

Our 1st Irish Fest was held August 25, 2007. A Chicken BBQ (Stearns) was held right after 4:30 mass in the parking lot of St Ann's Church of Our Lady of the Valley Parish. There were games for the kids. Celtic jewelry, Irish gifts, a cake booth, food and beverages and The Wild Geese of Ireland (by way of Rochester, NY) performed. St Patrick stood at the top of the valley to send the worst of the wind and rain south of Hornell. Despite the threatening weather, an IRISH time was had by all!
