Hi there here is some basic info on catching and keeping a Queen Ant. Firstly before getting one going out make sure you have cotten wool on the bottom of the container. I have left a link to Ant cam this will help you find out what type of Ant you have got in your neighbourhood. This will also let you know what that species queen looks like.Now some random information.
- Ants might need a bit more than sugar water so you might need a really sickly solution of sugar and protein
- your new colony might need insects to help it grow
- Ants need moisture in their container a little bit of cotten wool dipped in water will do make sure that the cotten wool dosent get MOULDY and sure the Ants dont drown
