What a Life
What the ups and downs always tell you,
Moderation may never fail you,
You are a goal within yourself,
Don’t put your mind upon a shelf
For future reference,
To the point of useless idleness,
Who cares if you can your pears,
Then die
The ups are downs for those beguiled,
The in-betweens may never smile,
Take your flask and run and hide!
I am not! I heard men cry,
I believe! Then answered I,
What’s the use? Came a painful sigh,
You are you and I am I,
Poor is poor is poor is plain,
No such thing as painful gain,
Go to God, He will explain,
Money isn’t for the lame,
What ups and downs and in-betweens
Fail to show and what it means,
What life does accommodate,
Idleness will dissipate,
Shrinkage comes to those who wait!
Action is the bridge that links
A boy to man whose on the brink,
Smog will take away the air,
Mental smog will steal your dare,
Practice love until you care,
Practice makes living possible
Living makes practice possible,
So stay alive and practice well,
Out grow a lie and you won’t fail!
