There are two that I'm trying to get going right now. The first has the very self-explanatory name "Conservative Midwestern Pagans", put in place mainly for politically conservative and moderate polytheists in the Central Plains states (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin), our neighbors across the Mississippi (Iowa, Minnesota and Missouri) and in Kentucky. We'd have no objection to having a few libertarians dropping by, but we would ask the liberals to keep moving on. As the cliche goes, we don't need to give them equal time because we are equal time.

The other list is a Chicago area list devoted to the trickster gods (of all mythoi) entitled Trollheim Central. Pranks, jokes, silliness and maybe an occasional bit of historical reconstructionism on a local networking list (Chicago, Cook and collar county people only, please). In part, think of it as an attempt to get back to a lot of what Paganism used to be, before the Witch Wars ruined everything. (For this reason, the elders of the Reader Circuit and their apologists will not be let in). These are not democracies or free speech forums. As always, if we reserve the right to show you the door if we feel that you aren't being very good company, and will do so for many of the same common sense reasons that others will do so in real life, or at least did in the pre-political correctness era. An era we're doing out part to try to bring back. Just call us post-postmodernists.

This page is being hosted on Some Books Worth Reading, one of Antistoicus' other pages, not to be mistaken with the Almond Jar, the homepage of a Chicago-based Synchretic Graeco-Roman group.
